Honestly – Max is too tired, the jet lag is shitting on him, his head is exploding and he feels almost overwhelmed by how many hours he’s been awake that being considerate right now and telling Checo to not worry and catch some sleep again was the last thing on his mind.
And, yes, he won’t turn down a messy, sleepy blowie from Checo at 3 a.m, even with his parents sleeping a few doors away and a vacation itinerary to follow in the early morning – they’ve done worse.

“You know I like Sergio so now you’re going after him, unbelievable, you!” His lisp so lispy, accent so slurred, Daniel just wants to squish his cheeks and go tell Sergio about this little tantrum.
“Really, mate, I think I was much more worried about my race results than ending up next to Checo.” Daniel explains calmly, and it kind of works, you could see Max visibly calm down, nodding slowly to himself like that sentiment made sense.
