“Wait so you- you both have, like, never? Are you sure?”
Will balks as Mike shrugs.
“No-” Will starts, but Mike interrupts him with the most startling sentence Will had ever heard in his life.
“No, but I’m not opposed.”
Will freezes in place, turning to look at Mike who was sipping his beer indifferently.
“Really?” Liam smiles with a soft laugh.
Mike shrugs again.
“Look at him.”
Will wanted to die on the spot. Did Mike Wheeler just admit to strangers that he wasn’t opposed to having sex with him?
Will nudges him, an awkward laugh leaving his lips.
“I already told you not to joke about stuff like that.” He tries to play it off, trying to ease his panic.
Mike looks him dead in the eyes and Will suddenly feels stone cold sober.
“I wasn’t.”

Mike and Will decide in the summer before their college graduation that they want to become camp counselors. Sharing a cabin, they're both forced to confront their more than friend's feelings for one another after Mike admits that he wouldn't be opposed to having sex with Will.

“So,” Will prompts, when Mike still doesn’t offer up any information on the mysterious stack of papers tucked under his arm. “Are you having a party?”
“Oh, no,” Mike says, sounding like it might be the first time ever in his life that he is genuinely disappointed about this fact. He shifts and grabs the stack of flyers, sort of waving them through the air. “These are just for this game I play?” The inflection on the end of what should be a statement makes it sound more like a hesitant question.
“And in this one, you act like you’re… vampires?”
Or: To get out of the sexual rut he’s stuck in, Popular!Will gets dared to ask out Nerd!Mike and ends up attending a Vampire the Masquerade LARP where they proceed to put the ‘role-play’ into ‘live action role-play.’

Summary
Being a part-time superhero doesn’t solve Will’s problems; instead, it adds to them. As Cleric, he’s forced to deal with his egotistical know-it-all of a partner, Paladin. As Will, he’s stuck hopelessly pining after his best friend. He’s honestly not sure which is worse.
One thing’s for sure, though — he needs a change. In one of his weaker moments, Will comes up with a plan: get over Mike by getting under someone else, someone he knows he won’t fall for.
Maybe Paladin is good for something, after all.

Summary
Will Byers is perfectly happy with his life.
He has a job he loves at Lantern House Publishing, a department that runs almost entirely on caffeine and stubbornness, and a promotion that has been practically promised for months.
Unfortunately, Will is also an unbonded omega.
Which turns out to matter a lot more than anyone bothered mentioning until the position of Creative Director is suddenly no longer his.

Sometimes, all he can think about is how he’ll kill himself.

His lungs shudder as he breathes in, hands gripping his face, his shoulders, alternating wherever they could.
“That’s it- that’s it, come on, come back to me-”
He feels dizzy, out of it, the way he always did. He’s pulled into a chest, a heartbeat he could spend forever memorizing, and tries to get his bearings.
Or, Will is going through some shit. He knows a way to get out of it, but... no one seems content to let that happen.
