Summary
Thomas remembered the first time he noticed a change in the Minho’s physique. It had been a quiet morning, the three of them lounging in the sun outside of their small house. Newt had cooked them breakfast, a hearty meal of eggs, bacon, fruit, and fresh bread. Minho had eaten in slight excess, as he often did, but Thomas noticed how his boyfriend's muscular frame had softened. There was a small, yet undeniable, swell to his belly.
Thomas was beyond ecstatic. He could tell Newt was just as happy, if not more so. But despite the happiness Thomas and Newt felt, Minho clearly struggled with the changes to his body. When he was a runner, there had been no room for softness—only endurance. When they were on the run from WCKED, there was only survival.
Thomas and Newt make sure that Minho sees his new softness not as a weakness, but as a regular part of their new life.

Minho stumbled through the chaos of the riot, the bliss serum clutched tightly in his hand. His eyes searched the wrecked street, finally landing on Thomas, who was on his knees amidst the smoke, leaning over something. The dark-haired boy’s shoulders were heaving with sobs, and blood stained his hands and clothes. Minho sprinted toward him, but was stopped in his tracks as he realized what Thomas was crying over.

There's a healing bullet wound on Peter's right thigh, one that makes him put more focus than he'd like into not limping despite the ache that comes with every step. One of the sweatshirts he snagged from Mr. Stark back when he was fifteen is pulled over his shoulders, hair visibly disheveled where it peeks out from the hood covering his head, hands shoved deep into his pockets as he waits in line. Realistically, his budget is too tight to fit a five dollar coffee from a corner café in Manhattan, but after the week he's had, he thinks he might not survive without getting pumped full of caffeine, so he ignores the part of him that says to tuck his wallet away and leave, instead stepping forward, fighting a wince when his injured leg is shifted and forced to hold his weight, and looking up when it's his turn to order.
On the other side of the counter, blue eyes and blond curls greet him, curious as they take him in, with a name tag pinned to the front of his apron that says Harley. There's also something instantly intriguing about him that Peter can't quite place.

And Draco was never like this before, in school or during the war—but he’s changed so much since then, beautifully, in all the ways a person should, in all the right and wonderful ways and Harry’s changed in the wrong ones, “someone real.”
