He scans for the newest Volleyball Monthly, fingers moving right to left for the telltale kanji when he catches sight of a pile of curls on the December edition, the face of the player neatly hidden behind a magazine on ramen.
Can't be, he thinks, lowering his hand before he pulls it, there's no way he plays v—
It's really him, it's the same curls— though they're short and parted to the side so he could see a bit of Sakusa's forehead— same delicate features, same eyes, his cheeks still round from remnant baby fat.

And later when he's riding the Jam Jam Liner back to Tokyo, watching Atsumu and his memories disappear into the night, he'll hold onto the blush staining his cheeks and the way they pressed their foreheads together, grinning, not listening to a single word about stars.
He momentarily forgets about the countdown, leaning in to kiss Atsumu again, the tips of his fingers stroking his hot cheeks and jawline.

"What the fuck is that on your head?"
"God, is that all everyone says every time I say hi to them?" Atsumu slouches into his seat, "It's a floating mistletoe, dumbass. Or are you so out of touch with the non-magical world that you don't know what that is?"
"Of course I know what a mistletoe is," Sakusa says irritably.
Atsumu charms a mistletoe to follow him for the entire day. He manages to get a kiss from almost everyone in the student body except for one person.

Sakusa Kiyoomi never knew he would be a Miya someday. That the annoying blonde cocky setter from Inarizaki would make his promises and they would meet again in adulthood as teammates, and he'd still hold on to every word he promises. But then Kiyoomi realizes, that the best promise is Atsumu's existence and now he wants to ask him if the Miya name is forever his to keep.
