When Jim Moriarty- magpie shifter/were- lands in Mycroft Holmes’ garden by accident, he does what anyone would expect him to do: spy, and use what information he gathers for nefarious means.
But then Mycroft gives him a bit of his meal.
And calls him a pretty- handsome- bird.
And installs fountains, and feeders…
And--
Oh no- he can’t possibly be having his heart stolen, can he?!
A/N:
This fic was inspired as a sort of, “What if?” from our series, “A Change of Hearts”. You do NOT need to read that series to understand this fic. In this world, shifters/were are a thing. The Were ‘infection’ is passed like an infection via bodily fluids, and in many cases, weres are treated as second-class citizens due to their reported ‘instability’ and ‘aggression’. As such, mammalian weres are the most common type of weres, as infections more easily spread through blood/saliva.
