“Yeah, yeah, yeah,” Iruma snorts, rolling her eyes. “You’re the Supreme Leader of Evil, or whatever-- don’t call me a slut right now, this is important,” she adds, as Ouma opens his mouth.
Damn, Ouma thinks, I’m getting predictable.
“I overheard those fuckers on the way to breakfast this morning,” Iruma continues. To punctuate the statement, she picks up her travel mug and takes a big swig of her coffee. Iruma skipping out on sleep is nothing new to Ouma. She practically runs on a bad combination of coffee, monster energy drinks, and plain sugar. None of his business, though. “They’re gonna matchmake Shit-hara and Homota.”

When Ouma woke up, his first thought was: 'I need to get out of here'.
It was stupid, getting knocked out with some dirty sneak attack from a fake aikido master, being tied up with his tools taken away from him and locked inside the room with none other than the annoying Momota Kaito… it just irritated him to the core. He still has a lot of places to investigate and a lot of secrets to uncover. His time was precious, no one can tell who or when the next person was going to snap and commit their own murder. He was still worried about Harukawa who’s walking about outside, and the people actively ignoring how much of a danger she’s posing to the group… 'Idiots. They’re all idiots. It’s all up to me now. I don’t have time for this crap.'
And yet, he was still here, In this stupid Love Hotel. With stupid Momota-chan. Locked in by a stupid cult.

Summary
After running away from an abusive home, Kokichi Ouma survives by lying, smiling, and making himself small enough to avoid getting hurt. Everything changes when a failed shoplifting attempt brings him face-to-face with Kaito Momota, a rough-looking delinquent and fellow runaway.
Equally damaged in different ways, the two drift through Tokyo together, slowly building something dangerously close to a home in each other. Then, after a chance encounter with a former Danganronpa contestant, they’re offered a lifeline - one they accept despite having no guarantee they’ll survive the people the killing game will turn them into.
TL;DR - a pre-game Oumota homeless AU. Kokichi isn’t the typical fanon version of his pre-game self (quiet, overly apologetic, and anxious), and neither is Kaito (a violent bully/meathead jock.)
