“Couldn’t.”
Galinda blinks. “What?”
“You couldn’t care less what others think. Although…” she tilts her head, letting the silence linger for a beat. “…somehow I doubt that.”
“Oh, you’re just so sure of everything, aren’t you!? You don’t even know me!”
“No, not everything.” Elphaba regards her critically then, trails her eyes all over Galinda’s face and shrugs, “...but I am sure of that.”
Or a Valentine's Day enemies to lovers fic with a twist where the girls meet while on an unplanned group date with other people.

She hadn’t heard the door, but she’d heard that. Galinda, so vibrant and full of life and restless energy, addressing her so singularly immediately sends a shiver through her.
Galinda has made her way into their room, shedding her blazer and shoes by the door and idly running her fingers along the edge of her dresser as she makes her way over to Elphaba’s side of the room.
“Elphie, don’t be rude now.” Her fingers lift to trail innocently along the nape of Elphaba’s neck, barely grazing until they slither up and tangle into her braids, tugging abruptly, just once. “I’m talking to you, dearest.”
So that’s what kind of mood she’s in…
Or Galinda gets jealous and Elphaba takes full advantage. Everybody wins.

It’s the wrong thing to say because instead of releasing her, Glinda pulls her in tighter, somehow more determined to touch as much of Elphaba as she can.
“We will never have the time, Elphie. Never. I just want you. Please let me-” she breaks off as the tears pool in her eyes again and Elphaba can only sigh and finally kiss her.
Set during the end of Act 2 so spoilers for the musical, but not for Wicked: For Good.
