    Two worlds. In both Kronos used his last seconds of freedom to curse his children.

    In one world Kronos cursed his children with infertility. All their children would be born still and breathless, or twisted and monstrous with few exceptions. Broken.

    In another world Kronos cursed his children to be unable to feel love. To be as cruel and selfish as they accused him of being. Heartless.

    A childless Hermes driven by grief steals into the home of the Fates hoping to pilfer any trinket or tidbit that might help break the curse. What he steals instead is knowledge of the existence of the multiverse and how a God with his very specific domains and skills might traverse it.

    When Harry Potter wakes the morning of June 17, 1996, he doesn't expect any of what happens in the next 24ish hours. Not the nightmare that night, not the battle in supposedly the most secure place in Britain, not the death of his closest parental figure, and certainly he was not expecting to awaken a creature inheritance. But, maybe the thing he expected the least was to die himself, and wake to a group of people who are willing to kill for him. Honestly, he just wants to go back to sleep.

    Or what happens if Harry inherits early and gives a Soulscream at the Battle of the Department of Mysteries.

    After Tony collapses right in front of Steve after two days straight of working and fighting, Peter tells Steve that he's kind of a jerk. That's surprising to hear coming from the normally sweet kid that works with Tony in the lab, but also completely disconcerting, because what comes along with that statement is a disappointed look and tone. "He's not superhuman you know. What I want to know is why you seem to want to take good care of everyone else, even people not on your team, but not him. It's like he's the only person on the planet you don't care about."

    Steve can't say that Peter is wrong. He messed up, and now he needs to fix it, for Tony, and for the team.

    OR

    Steve realizes some things about Tony that he hadn't before. Steve's POV, minor angst, minor fluff, and team as family. Steve is not a bad guy in this fic.
