Hyunjae was a tall, blond young man and despite his soft look he was nothing but straight up stubborn when it came to getting justice Don’t take it the wrong way, he was a police officer, part of a special unit, and he and his partner have solved more cases than any other team in the entire state.
His partner, Sangyeon, had a more fierce look with analysing eyes and being two inches shorter than Hyunjae didn’t make him any less intimidating. If you looked closer his strong aura would make your knees weak.
Hyunjae knew that if Sangyeon was the one calling instead of the station’s captain then something wasn’t right.

For a moment, Jisung forgot how to breathe. The sounds of the café faded into the background. The rain against the windows. The quiet conversations around them. The clinking of cups and plates. Everything disappeared beneath the deafening rush of his own heartbeat.

The answer rose immediately. Instantly. Painfully. But Jisung couldn't force it past the tightness in his throat.

“You…” Jisung swallowed hard. Minho’s scent had changed. It had always been sweet, thick, pregnant — but now it was different. Sharper. Deeper. There was a new note in it that made the alpha’s shoulders tense instinctively and his heart race. “You smell… different.”
Minho froze. He breathed in himself — and felt it. Not just his own scent. Something else. Thin, almost elusive, but unmistakable. It was the way pups smelled when they were ready to come out. He remembered that scent from when Felix had let him sniff the newborns’ blankets so he’d know what to expect.
“Fuck,” he whispered. Fear crashed over him like an icy wave, followed immediately by steely resolve. “Fuck, Jisung. It’s starting.”
