Summary
George knows difficult situations. Has been through countless. This is just another one, nothing to overreact over. He has to admit though, it is hilarious. Especially when he tries to imagine Toto's reaction on finding out. His biggest nightmare is repeating itself.
Realistically he would just kick George out of the seat. Which is why George is not going to tell him. Or anyone else. Yes, even Him. George knows Toto counts on him to maintain an uncomplicated environment in the team as the senior driver. And he wouldn't be George Russell if he didn't deliver. He can't let Mercedes' messy history repeat itself.

Truthfully, he doesn't get why George is so ruffled. They're not dating, not even remotely in love and Alex has had a thing for Carlos (reciprocated thing apparently) for a while now. But it's supposedly 'the principle of the matter' and so he's stuck watching a senior driver, the same driver renowned for his composure and coolheaded personality, act like Alex cancelling on him to go pursue Carlos is a terrible thing
