Summary
Originally posted in May 1999, Perfect is the second part of the 'Speechless' series, set post-Tithonus in US6. The original summary says: To live the lie, you have to believe it; to live the truth, you have to speak it. Perfect" does not pick up directly after "Speechless," but assumes that the estrangement we saw between Mulder and Scully onscreen has been compounded by the events of "Speechless." Fairly cringeworthy, this story has been lightly edited from its original form.
