Summary
When Alhaitham returns from work at dusk, Kaveh likes to greet him as soon as he gets home. Sometimes, Kaveh will greet him at the doorway, or in the kitchen with a small meal, or even on top of Alhaitham’s bed with nothing but one of Haitham’s unbuttoned dress shirts. That’s the path Kaveh chose today.
This fic includes my art! I drew the art and decided to write something to accompany it. For anyone interested in commissions, mine are open! My art style would be way more consistent if this were a paid project LOL

“What do you do with the flowers?”
Al-Haitham paused. “What do you mean?”
“Like, what do you do with the flowers you cough up? Do you keep them or…?”
He furrowed his eyebrows. “What—why would I keep them? I obviously throw them away. Why are you asking?”
“I was just wondering—I mean if you’re not using them—like, if I could possibly…have them?”
Al-Haitham stared at him incredulously. “You want my unrequited love flowers?”
“Yes?” Kaveh flushed red. “Since…since you’re not using them.”
Since you’re not using them—
“What the hell would I be using them for? What the hell are you using them for?”
Al-Haitham has Hanahaki disease and coughs up mourning flowers. Kaveh asks if he can use them for his ascension materials.

Summary
The toddler began to cry, and then he started to cough from trying to cry too hard, snot dripping down his face. Another adult came hurrying over to help him to his feet before they went inside to head, presumably, to the nurse’s office.
Loud, chaotic, dirty. Everything that went against Al-Haitham’s standards.
“Working here as what?” Kaveh blinked. “Like admin or something? That’s probably quiet and far enough from kids for you. Though—”
“No,” interrupted Al-Haitham. “I don’t.”
After getting fired from a prestigious architecture firm, Kaveh moves back to his hometown to raise his five-year-old brother only to find that an old college "acquaintance" is his little brother's kindergarten teacher.

“You know, that—“ he pointed to the vial now lying next to Neuvillette’s cup. “That is not an ordinary aphrodisiac. It’s normal in effect but not in duration,” the duke shrugged.
“Duration?”
Wriolethesley watched as Neuvillette raised his cup to his lips to take another sip. Teasingly, he waited until he titled the cup before replying, “Supposedly, it lasts a week.”
The usually so well-collected chief justice spluttered, spilling tea on his lap. Wriothesley hid a quick laugh and offered up a handkerchief. He coughed awkwardly while wiping away the tea on his robe with the offered cloth.
