Summary
Ayato loves Thoma. It's quite obvious in many people’s eyes. The gentle gaze of Ayato looking at Thoma is unsurprisingly very different from his stoic, unflinching face towards others. Everyone sees it. Except Thoma himself.
So when Thoma recieves an anonymous love letter wanting to meet him on the roof, Ayato has to do something about it. He can't have someone taking Thoma away from him; he's loved Thoma for too long.

"Hood," Tim cut in, voice squeaky like it'd been squeezed-compressed-squashed ten times over. "I don't need to keep looking for Dick. He's right there."
or, who would've thought that a de-aged Dick would be really angry, really annoying, and really attached to Jason?

fuck yes. i thought this had hella interesting character exploration that ive hardly ever seen in Dick, Jason, and Bruce. it was so bittersweet and Dick’s issues honestly made my heart hurt, but it was a beautiful portrayal that a lot of fanfics dont address!!!

Tim doesn't sleep much, and as a result he hallucinates sometimes. He keeps hallucinating a pair of green eyes in the dark.
At the same time he struggles with his place in the fractured batfamily, and tries chasing the Red Hood, who surely is completely unrelated to these green eyes he keeps seeing... right?cue kidnappings, bad decisions, and a whole lot of food!
a bit angsty, but with a happy ending because i REFUSE to write sad ones. title is from "people got a lotta nerve" by neko case :)

aughhhhhh my heart 🥹🥹 this was an emotional roller coaster and still humorous at the same time!!! gahhh i loved the tension and growth between jason, tim, and their respective trauma. i love how jason and the pit anger was characterized— of COURSE he’d still be sensible when it came to helping others, especially tim (because he really is a helpless kid too), and his conflict with batman. a lot of fics i read have unreasonable hate between bruce and jason and i think it’s such a huge mischaracterization of jason and his motives as red hood!!!! this made me so happy, even if tim’s insecurity hurt my heart 🫶🏼💔💔💔

Wally has spent a long time coming to terms with the fact that he and Dick would only ever be best friends. It's been hard to grow up and accept many friendships have grown more strained and tense, but he knew he'd always have Dick. It was the one friendship he never had any reason to doubt. It was enough, more than enough. It was fine.
Dick has been going through a lot. He's been trying to make sense of Jason's strange new family with Roy and Lian Harper, but his brother just kept pushing him away. He's been so isolated recently, but his best friend Wally has never been good at leaving him alone. His steady friendship with Wally was more than Dick had ever deserved.

i just. i fucking can’t. i keep coming back to this and idk how or why i haven’t written a bookmark note about this yet even though it’s my third time here. ohhhhhhhhhh my fucking GOD this is genuinely such a beautiful, gut wrenching, heart burning read and i am LIVING for it. it has EVERYTHING i love in a fic— unrequited love, yearning, pining, deeply written miscommunication (with proper communication later), a bit of one-sided-but-not-really-one-sided-attraction— literally everything!! and it’s also a great character sexuality exploration for Dick, and a well-written characterization of Jason, Roy, and Wally. Jason’s characterization especially reflected what I’d imagine him to be which is sickeningly satisfying to read.
this also made me cry. i won’t even lie. god i love this fic so much. 🫶🏼
