Summary
The sex in general, how rushed and performative it may or may not have been aside, was another issue entirely. His lover had always known, from the very beginning of their companionship, that Lestat did not enjoy bottoming. Sure, Louis had never been aware of the reasoning behind Lestat’s distain, but he still knew that fact, plain and simple. Very rarely in the thirty years they had previously been together did he bottom for Louis; it was a gesture of great vulnerability saved only for special occasions in which Lestat desired to give himself over completely to his husband.
But since their union three years ago, the pendulum had swung and the status quo shifted. Louis, sometime during his eight decades with the gremlin, had gotten a taste of true dominance in the bedroom, a flavor of lust that he seemed unable to continue craving.
OR: As their purely sexual relationship emerges, Lestat finds it difficult to rectify with the dominant role that Louis now craves to play, when put into the perspective of his traumas of the past.

Laid out on the tour bus sofa, texting one of his overeager groupies, Lestat does his best to conceal the falter of his tapping thumbs.
Christine told him he needs to work on his anger management issues, needs to avoid bad press, needs to stop threatening to kill paparazzi. But if he throws Daniel out of a moving tour bus, that should be fine.
Deserves it for daring to say his name.
Lestat remembers the last time he and Louis had sex.

With a roll of his eyes, Lestat slid down to his knees, his hands roamed down Louis’s thighs. “My saint Louis,” Lestat breathed. He leaned his head on Louis’s knee and blinked through his eyelashes. If Louis wanted a show, Lestat would give it to him. “Owner of my heart, healer of my damned soul…”
Louis uncrossed his legs, forcing Lestat back. His firm boot pressed against Lestat’s chest. “Don’t touch me.”

Lestat decides to be a brat and misses his flight to meet with Louis, and being a brat always has consequences.

"It must be so difficult, not having a man around the house," Lestat sympathizes, tightening the wrench around the pipe. "What a brute, ton homme, must be to abandon you so."
"Does get awful lonely. You're so kind to take care of these things for little ole me." He rubs over his bump, and with a soft laugh, "Or, for us, I suppose."
"But of course! One baby on your hip, another on the way. How could I not extend myself to you?"
"Well, if you wouldn't mind with another thing," Louis croons as he cups a hand under one swollen breast. "Sink's not the only thing leakin' right now."
Lestat nearly thwacks in his head as he retracts under the counter to take a look for himself, mouthwatering. "I can assist with that."
