Yuma squints at him. At pretty, slender Harua, in his glittery makeup and crop-top, who ordered a strawberry daiquiri at the bar but is somehow looking at him like he’s the weird one here. There’s no way he’s this dense.

As Harua hangs up, Yuma’s eyes bore into him from the side, expectant.
“Power’s out.”
“Yeah,” Yuma replies. “I gathered that.”
“I’ll go grab my blankets.”
“What?”
“We need to conserve heat,” Harua says, mentally running through what little he remembers about power outage protocol. “And since you’re sick, and you've got the better bed, we should probably stay in here.”
Yuma’s eyes widen in alarm. “What?”
Harua takes a moment to pray for patience.

It doesn't make sense to a version of Yuma that has only met Euijoo once this morning. Euijoo has met Yuma countless times now. He’s lost track. This Yuma barely knows anything more than Euijoo’s name. “A time loop?” he asks, head tipped to the side consideringly.

When Maki loses his memory while stranded on a cruise ship in the Mediterranean, Yuma is forced to trick him into believing that they're newlyweds on their honeymoon. Maki can't exactly know that they haven't been in each other's vicinity in a year. Nor that they kill people for a living.
