Summary
Shu is a merman - and very unhappy about it. He wants nothing more than to finally be a human and live surrounded by the wonderful art pieces that mankind has created. His goal seems unreachable, until Eichi offers him a deal. In exchange for his voice, Shu will be able to transform into a human for exactly three days, and even longer if he manages that the prince falls in love with him. Shouldn't be a big deal for someone like Shu, right?

Summary
Three years after Valkyrie disbanded, Shu Itsuki lives in Paris as a reclusive designer, and Mika Kagehira enjoys a wildly successful career as solo unit Monarch. The most important thing in their lives, though, is each other. Between long hours of therapy and midnight conversations, they've built a genuine friendship, and they cling to each other with fierce affection. They will never be broken apart.
But the stasis cannot last forever, not with Shu's ever-increasing restlessness and Mika's growing exhaustion as a solo unit. Thus, the question asked by every Monarch fan must be answered: will Valkyrie spread its wings and fly once again?
