Summary
Zuko realizes his destiny much earlier. As in, as soon as he wakes up in the palace after his Agni Kai and is told he is banished. Unfortunately, he's never been a patient one. So he storms right up to Ozai and tells him what he's going to do. And gets locked up for over three years. Then, one day, he's being pulled out and told he's the new Fire Lord.
A "Zuko never meets the Gaang and suddenly becomes Fire Lord after three years of literal torture" AU. In which the Gaang doesn't know what to think of the new Fire Lord who happens to be the missing nephew of Aang's firebending teacher, Iroh constantly has a headache, and, sure, maybe the world hates the Fire Nation, but the Fire Nation LOVES Zuko, and he can work with that.

But, when she realizes her instructor is— in her own words—'a rude, impolite, stuck-up, bossy, condescending, disrespectful, arrogant, selfish, wretched young knight' named Link who she absolutely can’t stand from the moment she meets him, she’s determined to make this experience difficult for him as well. At least, that's what she intended at the start.

“We never discussed ground rules,” Zelda said matter-of-factly. “And we really should have.”
Link didn’t say anything, waiting for her to continue.
“Obviously, no one can know it’s a ruse,” Zelda said. “If anyone finds out, my father will call off his blessing, and both of us will be back to square one.”
Link nodded.
Zelda suddenly felt too warm, and she decided to shuffle over to her desk, which was a good distance from Link, and dig around for a piece of paper and a quill. “It’ll be good for us to write it out,” she said, more for herself than for Link, who sat on the other side of her desk expectantly.
Why did he look like he was waiting to get marching orders? Like he might have been almost eager for it?
She focused on writing out the first rule. “Rule number one, no one can know.” She penned the words carefully. “We have to look genuinely head over heels for each other.”

Kohga is extremely proud of the best idea he's ever had, of his quick thinking, of his fiendishness, of his magnanimous-ness. Magnaninosity? Whatever! You see, instead of killing the little girl (the way ~Sooga~ said they should), he decided to raise her as his very own. His Precious Baby Girl.
And look how well that turned out! She's activating the Divine Beasts that are programmed to be on their side. The Goddess power nonsense isn't an issue anymore. The Calamity is going to come and finally the Yiga will have their revenge and their freedom.

Link was 17 when he "stole" the Master Sword. Now, he has been labeled a fugitive and left with nothing. Seeking some more information on his supposed partner against the Calamity (and maybe a little revenge against the king that declared him a fugitive), Link launches a series of heists on Hyrule Castle. These quickly spiral as his curiosity about Princess Zelda becomes something more, dragging both of them into an unpredictable series of adventures.
There will be angst, there will be Rhoam Shade, there will be koroks helping with heists, and by Hylia there will be Zelink.

Summary

The way he ran and lied, and was still lying. King Rhoam was the one who insisted the truth be buried, but Link didn’t utter a word of protest. He may have come clean, but he had no intention of coming clean to all of Hyrule.
He felt he didn’t owe Hyrule anything.But the question remained, just how much did he owe Zelda?"

Okay, his plan was spite-motivated, don’t get him wrong. Sokka wanted nothing more than to annoy the crap out of Zuko at the moment. And he figured the best way to do that was to ruin their "breakup". The problem was, the only way he knew how to…postpone a breakup was a little, well, complicated.

Sokka and Zuko are fake-dating, a cover-up for a failed undercover mission. Only, Sokka's got more than a little thing for Zuko. They're scheduled to break up two months from the operation; just enough time to be inconspicuous. But after Sokka catches Mai getting a little...handsy with his "boyfriend" (and Zuko doing nothing to stop it), he decides to sabotage their split.
There's only one problem: Sokka knows just one way to stop a breakup.
And that's a proposal.
