“I can imagine that”, Greg muttered, softly patting Mycroft's knee. “It helps to speak about it.”
“I doubt that”, said Mycroft with a light huff.
“Mycroft!” Greg looked at him with a raised eyebrow. “You don't have to fight alone, Mycroft.”
“Did manage that quite well the last twenty-seven years, Gregory”, he sounded defensive, his chin slightly lifted. Now it was Greg's time to huff.
“Do you really think that?” There was another long pause.-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
After an arson at Mycroft’s home, he unexpectedly finds refuge in Greg’s flat. They discover that sometimes, letting someone in can be the hardest — and most necessary — act of all.
