Summary
The finale didn't do it for me, so I decided to take it from the top and rewrite the entire show...y'know, like a normal person.
Here is my version of Season 1, where everyone has a backstory and I added relationships, friendships, and character interactions, out of pure self-indulgence. I once heard the whole show had been planned from the very start, and then as we moved through it was clear that wasn't the case. So this is my attempt at a do-over where it was (and hopefully that comes across), to try to fill in some plot holes while largely staying faithful to the show.

Summary
Twenty Months. What happened in that year and a half?
How did Will feel about moving into the house of the boy he’d been thinking about for his entire time in California? How did the military take control of Hawkins, and how did the town feel about it? How the fuck did the team acquire the WSQK tower, and how the hell wasn’t the military on their ass about Eleven?Oh yeah, and what the hell is Henry Creel doing this entire time?
We will see the creation of the team’s intricate codes, tunnel systems, and what Mike Wheeler convinced everyone to call “Dungeon Crawls”. But not before everyone learns Hopper never actually died, Jonathan and Nancy graduate high school, and the party completes their sophomore year under a military quarantine.
Get ready for a certain painting to be addressed, perhaps a missing birthday, and what Mike Wheeler could have possibly done to give Will any sort of hope in volume 1 (how obvious?).
And who knows? Maybe Byler will be endgame after all.Series
