Summary
An extensive, cannon adjacent (ish) retelling of the Marauders seven years at Hogwarts and a bit beyond. Takes us from the four first meeting on the train, to the discovery for Remus’ condition, through The Prank and aftermath, and a slow burn romance for Wolfstar with about as much angst and miscommunication as you could expect from the gay son of bloodpurist assholes and the queer werewolf who doesn’t believe himself capable of being truly loved. Various Jily interludes as well, of course.

“Well,” Remus says quietly, “you don’t let people know you."
“And you’re saying you know me?” Sirius drawls, leaning back in his chair. “You’re the only one?”
The half-arsed derision in his tone doesn’t seem to surprise or intimidate Remus. He only smiles, knowing.
It is one thing to love a person; it is quite another to see them as they truly are and to love them all the same. And sometimes, Sirius thinks, he’d rather die than let anybody see beneath the defensive facade of his brave face.
From 1971 to 1978, the Hogwarts years of obsession, betrayal, recklessness, lies, too much drink, insecurity, and all eclipsing sexual frustration. Seven years of Sirius Black’s insufferable god-complex, of Remus Lupin’s most private shames, of secret relationships, awkward hookups, James Potter’s blunt advice, and more yearning than sense. Seven years for Sirius to finally admit to himself that what he wants is not only to be loved, but to be known entirely. And therein lies the difficulty.

Summary
Lord Voldemort empieza a levantarse, pero no lo bastante para ser una amenaza considerable en el mundo mágico, solo se oyen rumores de gente asesinada por aquí y por allá. Bellatrix Black y el matrimonio Malfoy, recién casados y acabada su escolarización son de los principales seguidores.
Aberforth Dumbledore regenta su bar en Hogsmeade como habitualmente siendo uno de los principales centros de espionaje no reconocidos del Reino Unido. Robert Hardy es un sofocado por el cargo pero aplicado Ministro de Magia y no hay noticias nuevas sobre Gellert Grindelwald y su confinamiento en Nurmengard.
Remus Lupin y Lily Evans acaban de ser nombrados prefectos de Gryffindor en su quinto año de escuela recién empezado. Severus Snape el de Slytherin. James Potter y Regulus Black son los buscadores de Gryffindor y Slytherin respectivamente. La tensión entre Sirius Black y su familia no podría ser más plausible y Peter Pettegrew no podría ser más feliz.
Albus Dumbledore ha decidido organizar un torneo de los tres magos para este año contra todo lo que la cordura dictaría y Minerva McGonagall protesta como habitualmente.

Summary
It's the summer before fifth year and Remus and Sirius are finally working their way through the encyclopedic book of Carnal Arts (that is, whenever Remus can get away from his road trip travel companion, the new Black Heir). Walburga is dead, Orion's in prison, and Lily has finally stopped hexing James. In the haze of hormones and thunderstorm-sprung-new-Magicks it's easy enough to forget all the horror on the horizon.
