Summary
If Seonghwa had to put a word onto his relationship with Hongjoong, bittersweet would be his pick. Countless days and countless nights loving him led him to this day. Had he given up? It was not something he enjoyed admitting to himself, but there he was nevertheless, with a knee on the floor and a ring settled in between his fingers. Seeing his sweet girlfriend’s smile could only make him think about one person, one man. Some might find it sad or even absurd that, in this moment, his thoughts drifted to his best friend, but he found it simply ironic. He had come to terms with that part of his life, Hongjoong was his friend, his leader, his colleague, nothing less, nothing more. And so, when tears started falling and his girlfriend knelt down, taking Seonghwa’s hand in her own, all thoughts of this past life of his vanished, and he was himself again, living in the moment with the woman he loved and the woman he had just promised to love forever.
