Summary
In a world where humans are living longer than ever, society can't cope. It's globally decided that anyone under 30 will become a minor again. Their adulthood stripped from them. Their guardianship handed over to their parents or any eligible next of kin. As a kind of grace period, there is a short period of time between the announcement of the law and the enforcement of it where anyone 18-30, who does not want to return to their parents' custody, can instead voluntarily sign away custody of themselves to a person of their choosing, as long as they are over 30.
Ilya Rozanov, who is only 22 and has just become captain of the Boston Raiders, is suddenly found with nowhere good to go. He's about to be deported back to Russia unless he can find someone he trusts, who is over 30, and might just like him enough to sign the Blue Form and at least keep him out of his father's control.
Scott Hunter, who is 36 and only just came out as gay the year before by kissing Kip Grady on the ice, was not planning on becoming a parent. He definitely wasn't planning on becoming a parent to the player who has been the biggest pain in his ass for the past 4 years.

Summary
Shane kisses the soft green-blue veins beneath the pale skin of his wrist. Feels the flicker of Ilya’s pulse against his lips, steady like the wings of a butterfly. He tastes like salt and skin, and something else just beneath the surface. Something sweet and delicate. A gentle, hidden thing - something the rest of the world doesn’t get to see.
They get thrown punches, and bruised knuckles, and hissed warnings.
Shane gets this.

Summary
Ilya pulls back just enough to press their foreheads together, knocking their noses in a lazy nuzzle. He doesn’t say anything, but his cheeks are burnt red in the middle (last bits) of the night, and Shane wants to taste the colour of his blush. He wants the heat in his mouth of how crazy he makes Ilya, swallow it down to live with his own crazy while he hopes the dock breaks off from the land and they drift off into sea and just get to be this forever and ever.
“No?” Shane whispers, “did I get it wrong? You are not my baby?” He asks then because he can’t help but tease, because he wants to hear Ilya ask for what he wants, he wants to give Ilya anything he can. He wants to give Ilya this. He wants it to be theirs, baby, to say it without it hurting as much as it hums.

Summary
"Rozanov?" he says, almost without meaning to. Surely he's mistaken and is about to be told to fuck off. Or, even more alarmingly, he is correct, and then he is certain to be told to fuck off, and possibly punched in the face. The man shifts, eyes drifting from his drink up to Scott and— well, there's no denying it. The captain of the Boston Raiders is drunk in Scott's neighborhood dive bar.
"Fuck," the response is slow, the delayed reaction of molasses spilling out of a jar carelessly knocked over on the kitchen counter. "I must have overdone it. I have summoned the Ghost of Hockey Past."
Scott could just leave. He could turn on a heel, and leave this drunk asshole to discover on his own what consequences are.
Because he's stupid, though, because he's nothing if not a responsible captain even when the drunken idiot in question isn't even one of his own teammates, and yes, because a small part of him can't help but love a good train wreck when he sees one, he sits down instead.

Or, Scott Hunter runs into Ilya Rozanov sometime around midnight after a game, and the two saddest, loneliest, most closeted hockey players in New York end up sharing more than they mean to.- Language:
