Summary
When Jaskier is young, he is sold to a slaver to solve his parents' problems with money.
He ends up at the royal court of Tretogor, a gold-collared bedslave, reserved for the royal line. Unlike the others, Jaskier doesn't settle into his fate, but rebels in what little ways he can.

Summary
After that, slowly but surely, Geralt was let into that side of Jaskier’s life too. When he learned about Jaskier’s need to carry, he had disappeared for a month, returning with a small package wrapped in cloth.
Inside were eggs. Rubbery and soft, just big enough to fit in his hand.
“Thought it might help.” Geralt had mumbled, turning away with an embarrassed flush on his cheeks when Jaskier gaped at them. Jaskier never asked how he got them, but he suspects they both owe Yennefer a favor.
Jaskier tries to show how grateful he is, the little trinkets from his hoard finding their way into Geralt’s palm, pockets, and saddle bags. More than once he noticed Geralt finding one and smiling, and it warms Jaskier’s heart to see his gifts are well received.
His heats got easier to stand with the help of the eggs. Not perfect, for it to be perfect he would have to have a partner to insert the eggs in him, a show of trust, and that he didn’t have.
