Summary
"In your hands, there's a touch that can heal
But in those same hands, is the power to kill."*
With all his time spent at the Library recently, Neil has been excelling at his studies. It’s only too bad he can’t say the same thing about his sleep.

Summary
Fleetingly he thinks of his favourite flavour ice cream, triple choc fudge brownie with caramel bits. The others laugh, or disapprove- in Kevin’s case, they call it an addiction as if they know what it means. And perhaps they do, Andrew thinks of track marks and Aaron yelling obscenities at the bathroom door. But ice cream isn’t an addiction for Andrew, it’s a way of coping. A shitty, sugary mechanism for dopamine and unharmful urges.

Summary
Wymack has his arms crossed over his chest as he stares at Neil, eyes hard, and long enough for Neil to start feeling uncomfortable again. Before Neil can say anything, Wymack glances away and Neil follows, landing on Andrew and Renee. Wymack seems to wait till Neil has followed his gaze before delivering the punch. “And you’re going to see Betsy, I won’t have an argument with you, not about this.”
Neil snaps his head back so fast that the back of his neck twinges in pain, which he ignores in favour of gaping at Wymack. His stomach sinks down to the ground and when he swallows he feels protests scratching at the back of his throat.
“Coach…” Neil starts before he lets out a dark humourless laugh. He attempts to arrange his wobbly limbs to stand taller, firmer. “You can’t make me.”

Or, the one where Neil goes to therapy.

Neil got up to sit right in front of Andrew, phantom hands floating above Andrew’s knees, staring into his eyes, eyes that looked as dead as Neil was.

Summary
The term monster that the upperclassman love to refer to him by had not surprised him in the slightest. He was filled with monsters, it only made sense that he was branded by them.

Summary
“It’s too much,” Buck whispers, his body tensed like it’s ready to snap. “Losing Bobby. Losing you. Feels like… like everything is falling apart. I don’t… I can’t do it.”
“I get it,” Eddie says. He tightens his hold on Buck, thumb searching until it finds the pulse thrumming in his neck. Buck’s heart is still beating. He hasn’t lost him, not yet, and he can fix whatever’s broken between them—will fix it, no matter the cost. “But what does that have to do with Tommy?”
Buck’s jaw shifts, his hands clenching and unclenching at his sides. “It’s the only time the thoughts stop. When he… when he…” he stiffens, trying to pull away, but Eddie can’t have that. With his free hand, he snags a handful of Buck’s shirt.
“Say it,” Eddie whispers, jealousy and misery and desperation all curling together in his gut.
It doesn’t matter that he has no right to claim Buck as his. It doesn’t matter that following his impulses never leads to anything good. All that matters is that Buck is here with him right now, and Eddie isn’t going to let him go.In an alternate universe, Buck goes back to Tommy after losing Bobby. Eddie finds out and they fight while trying to process their grief.

Summary
Christopher’s chest heaved once, followed by the sound of a stifled sob. Like a dam breaking, he hunched over slightly, shoulders shaking.
He was crying. Why would he be—
Oh.
He looked up at Eddie, tears streaming down his red cheeks, the dark makeup around his eyes somehow unaffected.
“I’m gay,” he confessed between shaky breaths, his voice cracking over the words.

Summary
It’s on the tip of Buck’s tongue. Eddie can sense it—can practically feel the energy charging between them—and he needs it to stop. Once it’s out there, once they finally get tired of the dance they’ve been doing the day they met, it’s over. If they never say it, things could go back to normal. If they never say it, they’ll still be them.
Maybe one day, Eddie will be able to bring someone home who he loves less, but can stomach the possibility of losing more.
Love suffocates Eddie. Slowly, he learns to breathe.

Summary
Buck cradles him, almost, moves Eddie’s head to rest gently in the crevice of his elbow. He doesn’t stop touching him, feather-light all over, from his cheek to his hair to his waist to his thigh and all the way back up again. Like he’s trying to fit a lifetime of love in a single movement. Like he’s finally starting to accept that this is all they’ve been allowed. Like he can see the color draining from Eddie’s face despite him just having been shocked back to life.
Buck and Eddie get trapped in an elevator.

Summary
He… forgot. Waking up curled around another person — around Buck — was not an uncommon occurrence. They'd been sharing the bed for a few months now, as they had back during covid, and would wake up tangled together sometimes. It was normal. It was routine. But this morning, he'd forgotten.
Eddie had woken up warm, comfortable, content, smelling that particular smell that came only from the warm skin of a person asleep, and his slowly waking brain had filled in the missing pieces it hadn't processed yet, signalling his motor cortex to lean down and kiss Buck. Routine.
He'd forgotten.
