Ash Taylor only really wanted one thing when she joined the Terran Cosmic Navy: to keep everyone alive for as long as she was able. She had considered her life forfeit as soon as she left home. So, finding herself stranded on a far-off planet with no support, it was easy enough to accept the whims of fate. She had heard tales of the alien invaders battling for the core of the Terran Accord, seen the "testimonials" from their human pets. Toxic resilience, of course, takes more than a few strokes of a pleasure graft to unlearn. For that, you might need a bit of age regression. Fortunately, Shanai meets another affini at the wedding who can help her sort things out!
This story has two versions. In one, Manchild, Remy is a cisgender man. In the other, Princess, Remy is a transgender woman. In both, they are under the misconception they are the one in charge of this relationship. (the actual wordcount is half what ao3 lists due to this doubling)
