When Prosciutto sees the way the sun, not every evening, but this one especially, relaxed and easy, floats toward the horizon, he doesn’t need to wonder if he’s ever seen anything more wonderful as he watches Risotto turn to look, at the risk of his hat against the breeze. His eyes, effortless in how dark they appear, eat and swallow the light, as if nothing and everything to him.
Admittedly, it’s been a long time since Italy’s had a day like this.
