He watches as something shutters over the glossy black of Jaemin’s eyes, heat lightning—Jaemin smiles, says “Alright then,” and Jeno feels the turn in his gut that says something has changed. Like in video games, when they tell you “your next decision will majorly affect the future”, except Jeno can’t save and do it over and over again until he gets it right- he gets to try just once.
So he hovers his hand, hesitates, and Jaemin lets his jaw fall open, teeth gleaming, lips glossy in the low light.
