Summary
Fifteen years ago, Aziraphale Fell was thrown out of his beloved family home by his older brother for being gay. Now, that same brother has extended an olive branch and asked Aziraphale back for a week-long wedding celebration. Only, he's under the impression that Aziraphale won't be coming alone.
A fateful stop on the way into town will reconnect Aziraphale with an old friend he was forced to leave behind and just might solve his plus-one problem. That is, if old hurts and old family drama Doesn't get in the way. Again.

This is a finale rewrite.
Let's take the very general beats and themes of that pile of steaming BS and turn it into something that — gasp — doesn't completely undo the lessons and values of the existing narrative.
Written in bastardized screenplay format (ie. I made up the formatting on the spot because no one can tell me what to do), one chapter per episode, six episodes total.

Summary
Aziraphale and Crowley grew up together as next-door neighbours on Hogback Lane, classmates at the local Catholic school, and inseparable best friends. By the age of eighteen, both were hopelessly in love with the other, despite the knowledge that they were doomed to live apart, as Crowley aimed to pursue university study in London and Aziraphale committed himself to remaining in Tadfield, dedicating his life to the Church.
After almost twenty years spent away from his hometown, renowned botanist Crowley decides to come and visit Tadfield again at a moment's notice; the purpose of his visit is to speak at a Careers Day for the school he and Aziraphale, now a beloved priest and a frequent helper at the school, attended. The twenty-four hours that follow will change both of their lives for ever.

Summary
Aziraphale Z. Fell is living his best life - his husband just got a major promotion, he loves his job at the library and his parent's estate is finally going to get settled so he and his husband can go buy a seaside cottage or travel the entire summer. The only negative thing in his life is his nightmare of a demon, dressed in black with flames for hair.
Anthony J. Crowley's life is shit. He just caught his boyfriend cheating on him, lost his job, and damaged his Bentley hitting some crazy lady on a bicycle. Oh, and he just received the fifteenth rejection for his novel. His only solace is the angel that guards his dreams - good thing he enjoys sleep.
Of course, when these two run into each other and find the manifestation of their best dreams and worst nightmares, everything will change.
And when they meet again in London a year later? Who knows what will happen?
