Summary
“Come here, kid.” One of Robby’s hands catches Dennis’s and lands against his sternum, trapping his arm against his chest, while the other stays in his hair, fingers winding into damp curls. Dennis’s attention is everywhere and panicked. He catches a flash of Perlah readying the needle and a desperate sound punches out of him.
“Nope, don’t look at that,” Robby says, using the hand in his hair to force his head back, angling his vision away from the commotion and up towards him. Dennis’s eyes lock onto his, pupils blown wide. “Look at me. Yep, good. I’m right here. You’re doing so good, honey. Just keep those eyes on me.”
The IV tourniquet snaps into place and panic flashes anew in Dennis’s face. ”Robby—”
“I know. It’s just Dana and Perlah. We’re just pushing some fluids, no more drugs. You’re safe.” Out of the corner of his eye, Robby can see Perlah speeding through what has to be the fastest IV placement of her career, Dana keeping her grip on Dennis’s hand to stop him from jerking away. Dana shoots him a glance of warning and Robby tightens his hold. “Okay, quick poke now. Still just us. Deep breath, Dennis. I've got you."

Summary
Shimmerkit is a not-so-ambitious RiverClan kit, preferring to watch his denmates play-fight rather than take part himself. That, or sneak off to chew on herbs. His life starts getting strange, though, when he saves another kit from falling into the river and getting a glimpse of a cat hiding beneath it.
Dustkit is ready to become a ShadowClan apprentice, but she already seems moons older, with an innate wariness towards her own leader Tigerstar, and his suspected relations with his deputy Cleareyes. Not only that, but she also has to deal with her mentor, Nightflame, and his strange relationship with her friend's mentor, Smokesong.
Mudsnow, a former ThunderClan warrior, returns to her former clan, head hanging in guilt. It's eventually decided that she can live in camp as a prisoner, at least until Longstar, the clan's leader, can decide she can be fully trusted. While she remains stubborn in not revealing the true details of her crimes, she struggled to understand why a former friend, Sunsand, is being so nice to her, or at least more than she thinks she deserves.

Summary

In ThunderClan, the truth about Squirrelflight and Leafpool has come out, and Firestar's kin has shattered apart over the affair. He struggles to find his footing in the Clan, constantly doubted by his clanmates for letting his own daughters break the code so blatantly.
