Summary
The gym grounded her. It had since she’d gotten her first part time job as a teenager and made enough money for a membership. Before that, she’d spent most of her days in the streets of her neighborhood, the school playground, her friends’ houses, anywhere, to be out of her own home. Having a space to be, nearly every day, where no one could disturb her, had saved her life.
The sound of someone clearing their throat broke Vi out of her thoughts.
“Excuse me.”
When Vi looked up, she nearly choked. A woman was standing at the other side of the desk, her hands placed gently on the counter. She had a long sweep of dark blue hair and was dressed in tight everything, a compression shirt and leggings that revealed an impossibly long and sculpted body.
She was hot.
