But then, in a flash, his vision turned white, a searing light burning his eyes. He found himself in the middle of a bloody battlefield, surrounded on all sides as Danger Sense constantly sent pain shooting through his brain.
He wasn't sure what was going on, but it was clear that the group behind him was on the defensive while the group in front of him, all in some kind of uniform, was the aggressor. Midoriya glanced at the angry man in front of him and then at the two heavily injured men (teens?) behind him.
Like a switch flipping in his mind, he immediately knew what he had to do.

He enjoyed her distress. “For as long as necessary.” He stood up and before leaving, pushed a button on the projector on the desk. Katniss sucked in a breath and made a noise of distress. Footage of her and Gale kissing just an hour before played in front of her. Snow walked around the desk, pausing in back of her. His hand slid heavy over her shoulder, squeezing just a little. “For your loved one’s sakes, I hope you understand what is expected of you, Miss Everdeen.”
Tears blinded her. She didn’t even think about shrugging his hand off. “What? What is expected of me?”
He stooped just a little. “Why, to do whatever I want you to do, of course. You’re mine. You belong to me now. Your life… your body… your soul… and the lives of everyone you love… all belong to me now. Do you understand?”

I published/wrote the entirety of it in only six months, but I wanted to make it the best that it could be, so I underwent a huge editing process. It's now finished! Nothing has changed majorly, mostly grammatical fixes and adding more detail, making it almost 5000 words longer. I tried to stay true to canon but also explore something entirely different. "Then he's facing a burning home, and he wraps the hood of his sweatshirt around his mouth before he pushes the door open and steps inside. There's Mr. Hale asleep - he hopes asleep - on the couch, next to - Stiles thinks that's his brother but there are so many Hales, who can keep track. He rushes over and starts shaking him, can see the rise and fall of the man's chest so he knows he's alive, but he's not waking up.
He shoves away his hood so he can shout, "Mr. Hale! You have to get up, there's a fire! Mr. Hale, get up!" Nothing, he's not even twitching, both of them taking in deep even breaths like they're having the most peaceful of rests, and Stiles is going to cry. "Wake up, wake up, wake up!"
There's a moment, where all Stiles can hear is the blood rushing in his ears and not the roar of the flames or the creak of wood, then with a violent, silent pop it's all back and both of the men are gasping awake, eyes open and jumping to their feet. "Series

Izuku grinned at the other man, knowing that it was a vote of confidence and nothing more.
