Summary
Max went through Will's portal. Will went through Max's portal. They swapped bodies.
Now Will has to pretend to be Max Mayfield, which would be easier if Max wasn't mean to literally everyone. Max has to pretend to be Will Byers, which would be easier if Mike Wheeler didn't have a completely different voice and face and entire personality when he talks to Will. Also, they can hear each other’s thoughts now, which is uncomfortable (to say the least.)

Will moved faster than he had ever moved in his life. One second he was lying beside Mike, and the next he was fully submerged under the covers, pressed against Mike’s side with the sheet over his head and his heart in his throat.
The door shut and Dustin’s footsteps echoed as he trailed down the hallway and away from the room.
