Summary
After Hirotsu gives them their offerings, they exchange rings, and Dazai never, not once, breaks eye contact even as they're instructed to kiss. Chuuya expects a wet tongue in his mouth as some sort of demonstration of dominance, so he's surprised when Dazai's hand lifts to cover them both, and the only thing that's pressed to his lips — the corner of them, to be precise — is a dry, fleeting kiss.
And then it's done.
Chuuya is officially, irrevocably married to the one and only head of the mafia.
Or, an AU in which king of the sheep Chuuya has to marry port mafia boss Dazai to get one of his people out of jail.

“Tsushima Shuuji,” Chuuya reads out loud. “A bright, optimistic young man with a pep in his step and a zest for life. Hang on–is this referring to you?”
“Unfortunately,” Dazai laments, sighing dramatically. “You just got away with ‘science nerd’ and ‘soccer player,’ but I’m supposed to be an artist! I hate art! It’s useless!”
“Shut the fuck up. That’s not the problem here. You? A ‘zest for life?’ Looking forward to each new morning? Hah! Rimbaud would sooner come back to life.”
Dazai turns to Chuuya with the barest facsimile of a smile painted over his lips.
“I,” he says sweetly, “am going to gut you open like a fish.”
Dazai and Chuuya are seasoned mafiosos at the ripe old age of almost-seventeen. They’ve fought gang wars, interrogated prisoners, and done all manner of unspeakable things. Now, they face their greatest challenge yet: going (undercover) to a real high school. With regular teens (who may or may not be desperately trying to get them to kiss).

Fingertips trickled down his back, then up again, the back of his nails gliding over each slope of his ribs, counting the divots. “Perfect,” Dazai hummed.
Perfect. He scoffed at the embarrassing praise, but it made his chest feel a little warmer. Perfect for what? There was no use Dazai had for Chuuya’s bones—nobody cared about that part, just the muscles that wrapped around them and filled out the skin they had been left with. Bones couldn’t even feel or think, but they were the last part to remain. It was unfair.
Dazai could pick apart every piece of him and praise the beauty of its role in the mosaic that was his Chuuya.
tl;dr chuuya struggles with adjusting to his new life at the agency, so dazai plans a date night to cheer him up

Summary
“You’re awake,” Chuuya said, stopping at Dazai’s bedside. A small, strained smile began to play on his lips, but he looked like he was trying not to grit his teeth. “It’s been a bit. They said your coma could’ve lasted a long time, maybe months or more, considering what happened. But they also said it helps for the person unconscious to hear someone talking to them because it might wake them up sooner.”
“Awake?” Dazai echoed, his eyes darting from Chuuya’s face to the faraway wall, taking in everything again. This was a hospital. He was being kept alive. How did he survive? “That’s impossible, I had everything calculated down to the moment. From the height I fell from, I shouldn’t have survived.” His voice rose in a panic and a finger came upon his lips, gently shushing him.
“Not so loud. The walls are thinner than you think.” Chuuya leaned over to get a good look at Dazai’s face, his smile widening. It was unsettling, like he was peering into Dazai’s soul. Something was wrong. “You’re right, Dazai. You’re supposed to be dead to everyone who knows what happened. That’s why you can’t be loud.”
Beast Dazai survives his fall, but his actions still have their consequences.

“You heard what I said, shitty Dazai. He doesn’t want you. Not a single one of them does, but I do. So you’re going to fucking stay here, because you don’t get to leave me again.”
“I’m not participating in this weird ass fantasy where we spend the rest of our lives together. I’m not him and you know it,” Dazai bites out, renewing his efforts to get out of his bindings.
Nakahara’s hand shoots out to pin him against the couch and stop his movements. “I know. Of course, I know that. But he owed me, and now he's fucking dead so you’re the one that’s going to pay on that debt. So, I am going to fucking keep you and when the times comes, I’m going to be the one kill you. You don’t have anything waiting for you out there, and you know it.”
Finally, Dazai stills. He tries to formulate a response, but he's not stupid, and there's no denying the truth. Slowly, he nods, and from above him, Nakahara grins.

It was barely dawn when the phone rang, slicing through the fog of Chuuya’s sleep. He didn’t know why he sat up immediately, why something deep inside him leapt awake with a jolt of unease. There was a tug in his gut, cold and insistent, warning him that something was wrong, that he needed to pay attention.
He answered before he could think.
Mori’s voice came through, precise and cutting, each word falling like shards of ice. “As of last night, Dazai Osamu has left the Port Mafia of his own volition.”
Chuuya’s lips parted, but no sound escaped.
Dazai... left the Port Mafia?
Left him?

Dazai has regrettably come to the conclusion that he holds a certain, unfortunate degree of appreciation for Chuuya’s hands.
It’s something he’s been lamentably forced to realise only after a healthy dose of persistent denial to finding anything attractive when it comes to that short, loudmouthed hat collector. Not that he’d ever admit to it aloud, there’s no reason for Chuuya to think that Dazai has some kind of personal attachment to him after all. It’s not as if Dazai needs him around, quite the opposite really; in the end they are nothing more than begrudging partners, fierce rivals and ocassional stress relief. Still, even he can admit (if only to himself and after much stubborn refusal to the contrary) that Chuuya’s hands are capable of things both terrible and beautiful to behold.
