Strong arms pull her away, condemning her thrashing and sobbing. They pull her far away, although it feels like she's right next to him still. A gruff voice tells her that it will be dealt with. She doesn't want it to be dealt with. She doesn't want him to be dealt with, because there should be nothing to deal with. The voice says nothing.
But she breathes. She inhales into a palm pushing a mask into her face. Somehow, she takes another breath, then another, and she shakes from almost knocking herself out. It's more than the oxygen she needed.

Solace can be brought to life by the mere existence of an object or concept, but can also bloom in the very middle of a garden, and as snowflakes slowly fall down, this premonitory sign might as well signify the end of Kaveh’s very existence and the destruction of what he never wishes to lose.
But sometimes, when the night sets down and Kaveh dreams of his perfection, he forgets about the winter.
And sometimes, just sometimes, when he’s in his garden, he forgets about the snow piling up around him.
