Summary
Sometimes, Sakura wished her hands weren’t so rough, so calloused. She knew exactly how hard to grab something for it to break. How easy things were to shatter with a flick of her fingers. She wished the calculations didn’t run through her head every time she reached out for something, for someone.
Sakura was a medic, a healer. But people never understood the hardness of that either. She wasn’t the medic who soothed crying children who’d fallen and scrapped their knees. She was a battle medic, dragging a bloodied body across the ground and yelling at them to hold on for her. Her teeth cut gauze and her hands forced bones back into place. She healed people but it was through blood and tears, muffled screams and dilated eyes.
She wished she knew how to hold things lightly. There were some things she was terrified of breaking. Whether it be from an honest misstep or simply because she could.

It’s like his brain shortcuts to places he didn’t even know existed before he came into contact with expressive eyebrows, gleaming eyes and a determined grin.

It was the menacing, yet frighteningly calm rage that piqued Hidan's interest. This was one of the few times Hidan couldn't make out the older man's expression through his mask.
"I'm well aware threats don't work on you, you vulgar piece of trash," Kakuzu spoke evenly, words rumbling, felt rather than heard. "However, I've considered alternative means to make you shut your trap."
Hidan licked his lips, mouth suddenly feeling very dry. "Yeah?" he taunted, utilizing his brattiest tone, twisting his lips into a defiant grin. "I think you're full of it."

It was a piss poor excuse, and both of them knew it.
Hidan grinned salaciously.
“Oh come on, Kakuzu. I think my collar is the least conspicuous thing about us.”
He lazily ran a hand over his chest, and Kakuzu almost scoffed. Hidan must really overestimate himself if he thought that something as cheap and easy as feeling himself up would be enough to get him what he wanted.
“I think it does bother you. And you know what else I think? I think it turns you on.”
