Summary
Jeong Yunho pilots the Korean jaeger Eden Fury and has for half of a decade. The weight of war is slowly breaking him, but only his copilot, Jung Wooyoung, seems to see it. Until his old friend, Song Mingi—the man Yunho thought he'd copilot alongside—is sent to his shatterdome to study the most recent kaiju kill, the one that struck Eden Fury's reactor core and nearly took her out. His old friend sees something in Yunho that he thought he'd lost a long time ago.
Song Mingi is not afraid of kaiju, not once their samples and parts end up in his lab for intensive study. Instead, he is afraid of crossing paths with Jeong Yunho, the friend he left behind after an accident stripped him of his piloting prospects. Only, when he's forced to meet Yunho again, he finds the same boy he cared for all those years before hiding behind a hardened shell that's beginning to crack.
In the midst of a forever war, the two of them are on a track to reconnection and healing, even as the world continues hurtling forward in a pre-apocalypse.

"oppa, please kill the vampire!" everyone had begged once seunghyun had arrived into the small village square. seunghyun smiled a charming smile, reassured everyone that the vampire would be gone by tonight, and everyone was all over him in an instant.
"tell me more about this vampire," seunghyun asks one of the elderly women who had been talking about her poor daughter, before she looked up at him

jiyong moves to a new city, because sometimes the movement of his own feet on the sidewalk doesn't cut it. it's impulsive, in the kind of way he usually isn't, but it happened and now he's here. in this building. with a pink-haired neighbor who seems to be more fiction than fact, the more jiyong learns about him. or, really, the more he insinuates himself into jiyong's life. like jiyong wasn't just fine, languishing in his empty, unfurnished apartment like a totally normal human being.
