Mikado leans over a girl of a shorter stature, essentially dwarfing her as she cowers against the wall. Even from where you stand, you can see the deep blush spread across her face as he peppers kisses along her collarbone.
The scene makes your gut swell with a well-acquainted burn. The ache of jealousy spreads across your body, and yet the rapid beating of your heart is intoxicating. Perhaps you’re simply a perverted voyeur- seeking thrill in the way their bodies are pressed so closely together, voices hushed under the music bleeding through the walls and whispering winds. Preserved in a perfectly ignorant bubble, like a secret the world is trying to keep.
Or, maybe it’s a sick feeling of power, knowing that, though he may seek temporary refuge in other women, Mikado will always come crawling back to you when he needs a warm body to fill his bed at night.
With a deep breath, you unveil yourself from the shadow of the dark evening sky, coming into the yellowish light of the house’s side-porch light.

“What?” you feign innocence, hoping that maybe he’s just fucking with you.
(‘Hoping that maybe he’d start fucking you’, your mind supplies, and you try to shake the thought away with a deep breath and a couple seconds of squeezing your eyes shut.)
Sannoji laughs, and you briefly wonder if his face is laughing alongside his mask- if his mask is even on at all, that is. “Don’t try to be coy with me,” the way he punctuates the sentence with your name sends a rush of additional warmth through you. “You’ve already given yourself away, darling.”

Summary
Ivo wasn't sure why, exactly, he'd been tapped to babysit some kind of "living weapon." His own babies were more lethal, more obedient, could be repaired, and didn't spray as many organic fluids when damaged. Still, he kinda likes Stone. The man doesn't talk back or question orders. He's efficient (for a human) and watching him tear through an enemy installation is a real hoot.
Which is why it's such a surprise to find out this mysterious handler-only meeting is about Stone's performance - and Ivo's inability to control him.
Ivo makes his opinions on that matter quite clear.

Summary
Stone isn't a person. He's a weapon. And a weapon wants to be used. But they keep giving him to handlers who are too soft to truly use him correctly. It's almost frustrating, if he felt frustration.
His new handler is the worst yet, some kind of scientist who barely acknowledges his existence. He has no idea why a scientist needs a special agent, and it seems like he doesn't.

He always came running back to her, especially concerned whenever she hurt herself. He would patch her up and kiss the band-aid while she blubbered fat crocodile tears. She drank in these scraps of his attention the same way a dog might eat barf off the floor. But those temporary moments of affection were growing farther and fewer in between, and she could only inflict so many injuries on herself—god knows the hag wouldn’t pay a hospital bill, not for her.
So she was thrilled to have discovered a foothold, another way to worm back into his good graces. Sure, maybe it went against convention to launch a seduction campaign on your own brother, but it’s not like she had a reputation to protect anyway. Andrew, on the other hand, very much did. He’s a coward who loves to hide behind her, always has been. Ashley knows he would never give himself permission to do anything unless she started it.
