Summary
“You know she’ll never feel the same way about you,” Mon-El says, pulling his eyes away from Kara.
He’s trying to hurt her. Lena could laugh. As if he could. She’s a Luthor for crying out loud.
“Never. You have to know that?” he implores.
She smiles. “I’m the smartest person in every room I enter. I have three PhDs and I run a billion dollar company. I’m not a figurehead either, I manage the day-to-day operations. It sucks.”
He opens his mouth to interrupt, to tell her that none of those things make her worthy of Kara’s love. To point out everything she’s left out. Her namesake. Her past. But she simply raises her hand.
“Of course, I know, Mon-El. I’m not in the habit of ignorance. Why would I start now?”
OR
Kara and Mon-El are a couple. Lena tries to get over it. But her stupid dumb heart can’t stop beating for the blonde Kryptonian. And if she can’t have her, well she’ll be damned if she doesn’t at least help the asshole who can.

Summary
“She must be lonely,” Lena says, staring at the TV for a second before picking up the last bites of her burger. It’s showing a news report of Supergirl stopping a robbery in progress and leaving the scene with all the robbers cuffed and unconscious.
“Supergirl?” Kara’s voice is muffled, in the middle of chewing her fries while typing. Lena sees her glance at the TV before returning to her work, one hand reaching for another bunch of fries.
“Yeah. Don’t you think she looks lonely?”
Kara shrugs. “Everybody loves her.”It's a conversation. Sometimes, that's really all it takes.

Summary

Even though it’s an offer of freedom, Kara hears it more as a signing of her fate. Midvale is what there is, now. She might’ve thought once she’d see something outside it, but her life is tied into the fabric of the town. There’s no going back now. There never was.
Kara Danvers moves to Midvale, finds out it's a Hellmouth, falls in love, and dies. And then she lives.
