Summary
It was currently winter in Königsberg, the cold much more blistering than usual. Perhaps the weather was just as miserable as all of Europe. Gilbert knew he certainly was.

Summary
He was never going to feel the warmth of his touch anymore. His kisses. The intimacy. Idia needed him so much. He had tried everything to move on, meeting other people, going out, but nothing worked. There he was, several months later, crying. They had so much planned for the future together. He hoped Malleus was doing better off without him, because then at least one of them would be happy. Idia felt like he had to deal with the worst of it. Secretly, he cared too much. And he wished he had expressed that more. Perhaps it would have saved their relationship. Maybe it wouldn’t have.

Summary
The human lifespan felt cursory to the fae. He will continue to live for thousands of years while the human lifespan stayed the same, a century while he lived for many more. Never in a million years did he think that a human could impact him so much. He didn’t watch as he took his final breath, but in his heart, he knew that he had ceased to live. It had been several decades since he had faced mourning him head on. Now, standing at the shore, he listened to the water move and thought about the many hopes and dreams they both had. How amusing, a fae with a human. It was a curse.
