Or, Lucy's inability to keep a pure mind around Lockwood is matched only by his desperation to keep his hands to himself. And that's before she kisses him and runs away.

I could feel my face flaming, as George and Flo looked on in bewilderment.
“Right. Well. Thank you,” I offered back, a little awkwardly.
Lockwood leaned in toward me, to do god knows what. He tucked a lock of hair behind my ear.
My heart was hammering in my chest, my mouth was as dry as the Sahara, as his face came even closer to mine.
What the hell was he doing?
George and Flo’s eyes were on stalks. I felt like we were all holding a collective breath.
