Jaeyun pokes Heeseung in the chest. “Stop fishing for compliments, it’s not cute.”
"Who's fishing?" Heeseung asks, like he doesn't need to. Jaeyun rolls his eyes, and Heeseung kisses him, soft and sweet. Warmth unfurls in Jaeyun's chest.

It is the stars he watches from his room at night and the wind in his hair and the feeling of the sun baking salt onto his skin when he emerges from the ocean. It is Heeseung’s hand in his and the smooth glide of Heeseung’s scales on his bare legs and the rapid beating of Heeseung’s heart against his chest when they are close together.
