Daeron had been as sober as he’d been in years, head aching and stomach roiling as flames danced before his closed eyes. The sensation of imminent doom had threatened to drop him where he sat, to make him heave and weep in a way that only a pitcher of wine would dull down, but he’d pulled on his helm all the same, had spurred his horse into action to face down Mad Robyn Rhysling, and the nightmare had begun.

When Thorn wakes up, hurting all over and lacking the memory of where he is and where he’s been and what he’s done, he's less freaked about it than he maybe should be.
He remembers the Chancellor calling him. Fox is the Chancellor’s official liaison, and Fox does his damn best to keep the rest of them out of his grip, and as such the call had been unusual, and he remembers being surprised by it. Remembers stepping into the blood red room of the Chancellor’s office, seeing the slow spread of a smile across the old man’s face, and remembers no more.

Summary
Once the Kenobi floodgates are opened, they cannot be closed. Cody has apparently been keeping an itemized list of disagreements, and he is determined to tell Rex each and every one of them.
Kenobi refuses to listen to Cody’s input. Kenobi throws himself into battle with no regard for previously established battle plans. Kenobi uses the Force so recklessly and obviously that every undercover assignment is blown within the first few minutes. Kenobi is a hypocrite who berates Cody for sidestepping protocol, but flouts it himself at every opportunity.

Summary

He quickly discovers that he has neither the strength nor the influence to handle this all on his own, but how could he possibly ask for help when he has an equally complicated history with every potential ally? To survive with his reputation and his last good nerve intact, the question of who is trustworthy and who is not must be definitively answered. Not that definitive answers are commonplace.
