Summary
Jay has his memories back, but no good deed goes unpunished. He must now suffer the drawbacks of shattering his goodness and his ties with some of the Ninja’s worst enemies. Not exactly an icebreaker with new teammates.
Basically Jay struggles more than he realizes and losing your morals is a lot more impactful than he thought it would be.

Summary
When the timeline erased, so did everyone's memories. Jay’s gotten good at coming up with elaborate stories about each and every scar he received from Fortunes Miskeep.
Years pass and he thinks that the burden of his memories from the ship are now lighter to carry, until everything he was running from eventually catches up to him when Ninjago gets torn apart over night, leaving Jay separated from the others.

Jay scowled, “Is he still sending out Chirps? Didn’t the last half hour teach him anything?”
“Huh?” Cole glanced up to Kai, before continuing his dig through the debris with a wave of his hand, “Ah, let him have fun. It’s not like he’s serious about it. So what if every girl on Ninjago’s trying to be the future Mrs Jiang?"
He had to laugh at that, for his own sake, “Please. A future with Kai? I wouldn’t wish that upon my worst enemy.”
