"Do you think I could come to the office sometimes?"
Reigen's head whipped in Yoshioka's direction when he heard him ask. Yoshioka wasn't looking at him, dilligently chopping some vegetables as Reigen had politely asked him to.
"I may not be of much help or anything, but I won't be a hindrance, either."
Reigen thought for a moment. He turned to look at Ekubo, hovering by his side, but he produced two tiny arms from his cloud form and shrugged.
"Yes", he finally said, "Yes, I think that would be okay."

Reigen didn't even bother to look up from his laptop when he spoke, but he tapped his foot on the floor impatiently as he waited for Ekubo to reply.
"...What do you have in mind, you shady con-man?"
"Nothing much. Let's have some drinks."Ekubo seemed like he wanted to respond, but Reigen rested his chin on his hand and smirked, knowing his intentions to be clear as he spoke again:
"And bring Yoshioka along with you."

"What are you talking about? Of course he knows."But Reigen couldn't tell if he was telling the truth or not. Not with the cigarette smoke enveloping his...no...Yoshioka-san's stern face, hooded eyes pointed at the floor, brow furrowed. Thin eyebrows, thin lips, close-cropped hair, bags under his eyes, and the bright red circles on his cheeks, a sign from Ekubo's possession...
Whenever Reigen turned around, it was hard to shake off the intense feeling of being watched.

Still weirder is the fact that Gideon has seemingly woken up on the wrong side of the bed and is now keen on fussing over Kremy and not letting anyone near him. The well-known feeling of a fae curse overtakes Gideon as he is transformed into a werebull. In season. How serendipitous. As it happens, alligator's season only triggers in warmer climates, and Gideon is burning like a hot summer. How serendipitous indeed.
