“So what brings Charles Leclerc to my humble store,” Pierre is still smiling at him.
Somehow that smile gives Charles the courage to be able to talk to Pierre normally. “ I was out on a walk when I smelled your flowers. They look and smell amazing,” Charles explains, pointing at the flowers beside them.
“Merci, we have a field where we grow them ourselves not far from Milan,” Pierre explains.
“I can see the care you put in them. I will definitely have to come back and get a bouquet for my mama before going back to Monaco,” Charles replies, looking at the white roses and carefully examining them.
“You should keep it,” Pierre picks up one of the roses and offers it to Charles.
“What?” Charles asks, confused. He looks back at Pierre to see him intently staring at him.
“You should keep the rose, think of it as a gift from me,” Pierre repeats.

Been growing up together and working with the Leclercs in Monaco, Clarisse Lavigne was considered as one of their own. After a few tragic losses in the past years, Charles decided to distance himself from his family and focus on his 2019 GP with Ferrari.
With Clarisse being sent to Bahrain by his family to accompany him, he doesn't think his focus would last very long.
