Summary
Grace didn't even know that there existed a country called Mucegai—that apparently is a dependency under Romanian rule—existed until she applied for an FBI legat position regarding it. Based on the job description it seemed practically perfect for her and Emily even taking under consideration a language barrier that would need to be remedied with mandatory Romanian tutoring.
Change of environment after traumatic events to have a new start at life, stability of a job you're unlikely to get fired from until you need to retire and it even included full ownership of a house that she'd live in while stationed there until retirement—if she doesn't mess up something big time that is.
She should have known that life hated her in particular and it wouldn't be as pleasant and easy as she thought.

Summary
The scene around her changed before she could rip her blindfold off and Eleven sat up on her knees, looking at the portion of the Darkness that now held a patch of a wooden building and a dirt covered ground.
“I…” She took a deep breath. “Am okay.” She stood up on shaky legs, tilting her head in confusion as she took in the scene in front of her.
“There is a boy,” El whispered. “His clothes are…odd.”
“A boy?” Max repeated.
Eleven nodded, watching as the boy pushed himself up. His clothing sparkled in the streaks of light that came through, a mix of red, black, and gold that came together in a pattern she had never seen before.
“There is a spider on them.”

Peter Parker finds himself in Hawkins, Indiana in Summer 1985. It takes him a little bit to realize there is something very, very wrong with that.
