There are five of them, and they’re not even Threads but rather heavily armed mercenaries, and now they all turn to face the drunk lunatic with the shiny sword careening toward them from up the street. Confusion reigns for a precious second or two, and Tarquin takes this time to evaluate all the decisions he’s made in his life that have led him to this point. He finds them all sadly wanting, and then he trips and launches himself face-first at his nearest opponent.
Or: Tarquin is the last one to learn about Ashur's day job. He makes a few bad decisions.
