Summary
“This entire time we’ve been filming, you’ve been making this face — it looks like you’re constipated,” Heeseung huffs, pointing his hand in Jake’s direction. “See! That one.”
Jake leans down, picking at the lavender buds that scrape against his trousers, “I’m sorry–” He’s not. “Who died and made you director?” There’s bitterness in his tone, bitterness that he would never use with a normal co-star. But Heeseung isn’t just any co-star, he’s Heeseung. Controlling, overachieving, perfectionist, Heeseung.
“You’re supposed to be in love with me, now act like it.”
Or: Jake has accepted the film industry for what it is: entirely unglamorous, filthy, and corrupt. That is, until he finds himself across from an anomaly known as Lee Heeseung.

Summary
Jaeyun. Sunghoon mouths the word. The word seems to want to be in his mouth, and once it is in his mouth, it sits there cozy and warm.
“Jaeyun?” He says it out loud, the name, and he gets no response. The body is fully unconscious now but still breathing. Sunghoon looks at him, at Jaeyun, and he understands that there’s no one else here, that there’s no boat that has come in, no shipwreck.
I cannot leave this here, he thinks. I cannot leave this here, and I cannot bring any other person near it, because if anyone else came near it I don’t know what would happen, what they would do, and I do not want to know.
And then there is another thought underneath all of these. This washed up onto my sand. This is for me.
Or: For six years, the sea has been Park Sunghoon’s only company. Then she gives him Jaeyun.

Sohee could just attack, could just compel Chanyoung to bare her neck to her like she bared her heart unprompted. But she's always preferred to get a human to give her what she needs of their own volition. It feels like winning.

Summary
“I’m saying you depress me,” Sohee lands a heavy hand on his shoulder, digging his grimy fingers in a little too hard. He’s going to smear chocolate stains into Eunseok’s office-designated dress shirt, and he only has enough of these for the days he’s here as it is. “You need a companion, hyung. You should get a pet.”
“A pet,” Eunseok repeats, brain still running his code, not able to read between the lines. “Like what? A fish?”
“No,” Sohee chuckles like he’s telling himself a joke. He leans in even closer, but doesn’t adjust his volume. “Like a hybrid.”
*✩‧₊
Or, Eunseok is a software engineer who has accepted his quiet, average life, and doesn't understand the hype around hybrids. That is, until he meets Wonbin, a quirky and captivating cat who steals his heart and flips his world upside down.
