Summary
L and Light are all that remain of the first generation of Wammy House kids. L's the world's greatest detective and Light runs the House cultivating a new generation of geniuses into useful positions. They're rivals first and family second. But Watari suggests, in case of emergencies, it makes sense for them to legally be each other's next of kin. Light's not so sure he wants to marry L, despite the logic of the suggestion, but L's seemingly on board with the idea. Or is it his idea in the first place...?

Summary
After Light's death, a bored and strangely lonely Ryuk is given a chance to do it all over again. He drops the Death Note, determined to make his favourite human's lifespan last a little longer this time. It's just for the entertainment, of course.
However, Ryuk didn't expect to find a Light Yagami whose smiles were genuine and whose company was a quiet comfort. Now, the Death God, who thought he was just prolonging a game, finds himself utterly, hopelessly devoted to a boy who has no memory of their past. And Light, for his part, can't explain the warm, safe feeling he gets whenever his Shinigami is near.
