Summary
Faced with the challenges of reintegrating into society, renovating the cursed familial home, and Remus's irritatingly noble campaign to get ongood terms with Kreacher, sex is the furthest thing from Sirius Black's mind. Sure, he's an omega, but everyone knows alpha/omega traits are over-exaggerated evolutionary dead-ends, so he doesn't need to worry about any of that. Until, of course, he does. When Sirius is forced to ask for medical assistance from none other than Severus Snape, Sirius, Severus, and Remus all have to reckon with their intertwined histories-- and decide how to move forward even as, with the second war against Voldemort on the horizon, history seems doomed to repeat itself.

"Izzy sets the skull down on the center of the desk, and turns away. His reflection catches him on the edge of a gold-framed mirror hanging askew on the wall. Izzy approaches the mirror, watches himself in it as he sets it to hang properly. His graying hair, the dark half-circles beneath his eyes. Good God, but he's old. When had that happened? Was it before or after the character of Blackbeard had become a real person, with his own wants and needs? When had Izzy begun to serve Blackbeard above all, and whatever had happened to his old shipmate, Edward Teach?"
Jim, Frenchie, and Lucius try and succeed to mutiny; Izzy tries and fails to repress his emotions.

The Ministry is more concerned about cracking down on werewolves than it is about disappearing Muggleborns, Remus is a lousy prefect but a decent friend, and James has declared that all Christmas gifts must be "creative" this year. Includes strongly worded letters to the editor, Muggle protest tactics, Quidditch games, and a very temperamental Sirius. Happy Christmas!
